Crime Stoppers hosts Fentanyl Awareness meeting

The founder of Texas Against Fentanyl, Stefanie Turner and Williamson County Sheriff's Office Sergeant Heather Vargas presented Fetanyl dangers to area wide law enforcement personnel at their monthly information sharing meeting.
Stefanie formed TXAF.ORG after losing her son Tucker to fentanyl poisoning.

Crime Stoppers Dell Diamond Promotional Give Away

Williamson Count Crime Stoppers was highlighted at the Express Community Spotlight event for non-profit organizations.
Express Fans received 500 stress baseballs and 500 keychain LED flashlights distributed by Williamson County Sherriff's deputies and Crime Stopper Board Members.  A big Thank You to Thrivent for sponsoring the event.

On Saturday July 31st,  2022 Williamson County Crime Stoppers Board Members Llorente Navarrette and Joe Derrick were at Dell Diamond promoting the Crime Stoppers program. 
 
WCCS expresses their gratitude to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff Mike Gleason, Chief James Carmona, and Commander Troy Brogden, who helped pass out promotional items to attendees of the Round Rock Express game.  Fans received stress relief baseballs with our slogan "See Something, Hear Something, Say Something"
 
This annual event at Dell Diamond is granted to us as part of the Chasco Community Partners program for non-profit organizations.

WCCS Hosts the first Cross Check Meeting of 2019
January 09, 2019

Williamson County Crime Stoppers was honored to host the years first Cross Check Meeting on January 9th, 2019.  Cross Check is a gathering of representatives from all of the law enforcement agencies in Williamson County and a few state agencies, organized by the Williamson County Attorney's Office, that encourages the sharing of information and activities among the organizations.  Working together makes Williamson County a safer place. The main presentation was made by Sergeant John Pokorny of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Cold Case Unit.  Sergeant Pokorny gave an overview of the Special Investigations Unit and explained the origin of the Cold Case Unit, how they work with the victims’ families and the resources they have available to help other agencies with cold cases.

Crime Stoppers Board Members Tom Clark, Sam Jordan and Bob Cermak were joined by Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody at the Austin Police Retired Officers Association monthly lunch on September 12th, 2018. Tom Clark explained the purpose and mission of Williamson County Crime Stoppers and its Safe School Program. Sheriff Chody described the importance of keeping up with new social media apps in order to reach out to the students.
