The Safe Schools Program operates as an umbrella program under the guidance of the WCCS Board of Directors. All High Schools and Middle Schools in Williamson County are encouraged to use this program on campus and engage the student population to report criminal activity or school violations. Any information provided is guaranteed to be anonymous and successful tips can qualify for a reward as approved by the WCCS Board.
This project, which began about 3 years ago, meets Governor Abbot’s School and Firearm Safety Action Plan recommendation to “Expand Crime Stoppers operations and launch an awareness campaign for school employees and students to encourage the reporting of tips related to school crime.”

Crime Stoppers donates metal signs for Jarrell ISD parking lots

Robert Navarro, Jarrell ISD CFO and Billy Madden, Coordinator of Security, Safety, and DAEP Administrator (pictured left) met with Crime stoppers Board member Joe Derrick.
In addition to receiving the signs, they discussed various ways that Crime Stoppers can help promote the awareness of Jarrell ISD students, staff, and parents about the Crime Stoppers program and anonymous tip reporting methods available to them.

Coupland ISD Partners with WCCS to raise awareness of Crime Prevention on Campus

Coupland ISD will promote Crime Stoppers with two new 55 inch television monitors presented by WCCS Board Chairman Sam Jordan and Vice-Chair Joe Derrick on October 26th, 2022. Items accepted by Superintendent Tammy Brinkman included color coordinated lanyards for students and faculty, cell phone pop sockets, and 2 parking lot signs.

Williamson County Crime Stoppers Board Member Joe Derrick presented Round Rock ISD Police Officers Armando Villescaz and Frank Pontillo with 150 lanyards and cell phone pop sockets in the Stony Point High School "school colors" and embossed with the Crime Stoppers logo on 01/27/2022. They were also given some parking lot signs with Crime Stoppers Safe School contact information on them.

Safe School Committee Chair Joe Derrick has been busy delivering donated lanyards and cell phone pop sockets to local high schools. They are customized with the local school’s “colors” and each school received 150 of each item. Pictured with Joe are SRO Luis Marquez and Ms. Veronica Velazquez from Round Rock High School and Sergeant Wolf from Liberty Hill High School.

Williamson County Crime Stoppers Visited Liberty Hill ISD and was pleased to donate several 55-inch television monitors for the High School, Middle School and Intermediate School. The TVs will be mounted in common areas of the school so that students can view current school notices, upcoming events and be reminded that the Crime Stoppers Safe School Program is available for them to report any criminal activity, school violations or suspicious activity.

WCCS Donates More TVs to GRANGER ISD

On August 12th, 2019 the Williamson County Crime Stoppers Board of Directors donated two additional television monitors to the Granger ISD. The TVs will be mounted in common areas of the Junior High and Elementary Schools so that students can view current school notices, upcoming events and be reminded that the Crime Stoppers Safe School Program is available for them to report any criminal activity, school violations or suspicious activity. Last July two monitors were donated to the High School and have been enthusiastically received by the staff and students.

As part of its Safe School Program, Williamson County Crime Stoppers Board Members Sam Jordan and Joe Derrick donated two 55 inch Television Monitors to the Hutto ISD on April 11th, 2019. The TVs will be mounted in common school areas so students can view current school notices, upcoming events and be reminded that the Crime Stoppers Safe School Program is available for them to anonymously report any criminal activity or school violations.

The TVs will be mounted in common school areas, so that students can view current school notices, upcoming events and be reminded that the Crime Stoppers Safe School Program is available for them to report any criminal activity or school violations.
